There are a number of music videos from YouTube where I either simply play a specific song or sometimes (if tasteful) show the video that goes with that song and sometimes I also show the lyrics (which is what I would do if I was an English teacher). Warning! Be aware that some music videos come with inappropriate and annoying advertisements or scenes. Always view the entire video before using it. Also, always check the volume of your computer (or other playing device) before you attempt to play music in the classroom.
I remember a time when I had to go to a different room and when I tried to play the music on the computer, the sound did not work. I (we) had to improvise, and I downloaded the lyrics and somehow got the class to sing along.
